Kannur, a district of north Kerala is a land known for looms and ballads. During the British India period, the region was known as Cannanore. History reckons Kannur as an important port on the Arabian Sea and the place had trade relations with Persia and Arabia in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. It was also the British military headquarters on India’s west coast up to 1887.

1. For OTA's/ KTDC Online module/ Direct Bookings / Travel agents (FIT)
   
   a. From 1 st April to 20 th December & from 6 th January to 31 st March:
   
   • Cancellations made 72 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time will not incur any cancellation fee.
   • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled check-in time will result in the forfeiture of advance equivalent to one night's applicable tariff for the total number of rooms booked.
   • Non arrival on the scheduled date will be considered as "no-show" and the full advance will be forfeited.
   
   b. From 21 st December to 5 th of January & Onam/Diwali/ Pooja Holidays
   
   • Cancellations made 14 days prior to the scheduled check-in date will not incur any cancellation fee.
   • Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled check-in date will result in the forfeiture of advance equivalent to one night's applicable tariff for the total number of rooms booked.
   • ***No-show, full advance will be forfeited.
   
   Onam/Diwali/ Pooja Holidays - 2025- 2026:
   
   • Onam Holidays: 2nd September to 8th September 2025
   • Pooja Holidays: 28th September to 8th October 2025
   • Diwali Holidays: 18th October to 28th October 2025
