• Cool and serene hamlet       • Equidistant to Thekkady and Vagamon       • Vast expanse of tea plantations       • Rolling meadows

Peermedu is a tiny hill resort located on the way to the renowned tourist destination of Thekkady. The place got its name from Peer Mohammed, a Sufi saint, who lived and pursued a spiritual course of life here. A former summer residence of the kings of Travancore princely state; Peermedu is noted for its verdant plantations comprising rubber, tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom. The region’s natural beauty is further enhanced by breathtaking waterfalls and open grass tracts. The cool and pleasant climate of Peermedu makes it an ideal holiday destination.

Located in a serene, calm and elevated place adjoining a forest ecosystem, the property is an ideal choice for group stays, families, friends, and educational groups. Boating in Periyar wildlife sanctuary is also assured.
