Current rate of tax Luxury tax on room tariff: 12.5% Service Tax: 7.416% for the tariff above INR 1000/- VAT on food charges: 14.5% Extra person: 20% of the room rent on Double Occupancy basis and Child rate 10% of the room rent on double occupancy basis. The extra person charge of a dormitory in Tamarind Properties will be the pro rata charge of the tariff of a dormitory. For eg: if the tariff of a dormitory is Rs. 2,500/- for 10 pax, the charge for the 11th person will be Rs. 250/- plus taxes. NB: The tariff and taxes are subject to periodical revision.
